Smoke and Fire Quilt-design King Size Pillowcase

This design combines my love of nature imagery and geometrical patterns in my appreciation for quilting. I call the block design "Maelstrom" (if it's actually an already existing block and someone knows its name, please let me know) and when populating it with my digital "fabrics" I thought fire would go excellently with the swirling vortices of the pattern. The clouds with which I had thought to counter it didn't offset the fire as well as I had hoped, but they made excellent smoke. The blocks are framed with "sashings" of orange from the fire and sooty black - reminiscent of a fireplace at night.
