SLS Artemis 1 Rollout Commemorative T-Shirt

NASA’s Space Launch System (SLS) rocket with the Orion spacecraft atop rolled to Launch Pad 39B at the agency’s Kennedy Space Centre in Florida in preparation for a Wet Dress Rehearsal (WDR) test before its Artemis I Moon mission. Stacked on the Mobile Launcher-1 and mounted on the Crawler Transporter-2 for a journey from the Vehicle Assembly Building (VAB) to Launch Pad 39B, it took 10-hours and 28 minutes for SLS and Orion to reach the launch pad four miles away. The trip began at 5:47 p.m. on Thursday, March 17th, and the 322-foot tall, 3.5-million-pound rocket and spacecraft arrived at the pad at 4:15 a.m. on March 18th. This design by Tim Gagnon (KSCartist) with help of Dr. Jorge Cartes commemorates this milestone event as NASA prepares to return to the Moon. The setting sun shines through the VAB lighting the core stage and Solid Rocket Boosters (SRBs) as the vehicle began its journey.
