Sleepy Baby Orangutan in Daddy's Arms Postcard

This tiny baby orangutan is exhausted after a long day of playing in the rainforest with all of the other orphans in her age group. She has fallen asleep in the arms of a male volunteer. This infant was severely malnourished when Orangutan Foundation rescued her from an illegal pet situation. When orangutans are malnourished, they lose their pretty red hair which seems to be a natural bug repellant with its cedar scent. This sweet baby's hair has started to grow back, but she still has a few healing bug bites from her previous situation. Like human babies, orangutans requires a lot of love and care to survive. They are an endangered species. The artist volunteers at this Care Centre in Borneo and donates her Zazzle profits to that cause.
