Signing the Constitution Bumper Sticker
Maybe the reason nobody follows the Constitution anymore is that nobody remembers ever signing it.
You have to admit, when the great American abolitionist Lysander Spooner made the case that it's a bit absurd to believe the Constitution could be a binding contract with people that were never even alive when it went into existence is a pretty good one.
If a normal contract isn't even binding for children, how can a contract as important as a charter document for an entire society be valid for everyone that happens to be born in America? You have to twist even convoluted reasoning to a pretty bizarre degree to make that one make sense.
Now, the idea of a Constitution that limits the force of government is a cool one, even if in the real world it doesn't do anything more than look like a cool peice of parchment. The proof, of course, is in the pudding. The government doesn't follow the Constitution. Heck, the Supreme Court - who is supposed to have as it's sole responsibility a consistent interpretation of the Constitution - completely fails just about every time it makes a decision. And these guys are supposed to be experts on what is a pretty straightforward document.
And that's the point of this bumper sticker, of course. The Constitution is sort of America's political Santa Claus. We all pretend for the children that don't know any better that it's real, and that it's some sort of spiritual magical properties bestowed upon it by men in knickers and wigs that will protect us from those who want to enslave us with the state.
But it's really just a farce. People understand that it's just a relic. Politicians understand that people don't really expect them to follow it. Americans, on large, want something for nothing, and are just as prepared to ignore constitutional restrictions on government to get them what they want as they are to chastise others for getting a free rides that they don't personally benefit from.
Sure, people wag their finger and say things are "unconstitutional" just like parents use Santa as a special holiday season behaviour modification tool for their naughty kids, but it's just make-believe.

Ordered this to put on my laptop at my liberal arts university, to show my true colours. It came exactly as described, it came undamaged and packed well, and it shipped quickly from the US to Canada. It was a little difficult to remove from its paper backing but otherwise I had no trouble with it. Clear, the colours were bright, and the text wasn't blurry at all. The red especially was vibrant and not faded-looking or patchy.

The product works very well. Zazzle delivered it in a sturdy packaging, with a special folder for the sticker so it wouldn't bend in the mail or anything, which I appreciate. Sticks well to the car, and looks good! The image quality and colour all looks good to me. Up close and afar, I see no problems with it.
