A few people tossed ideas her way (as if they were giving her a great gift) and said you can use my idea it if you want, not realizing ideas are dime a dozen, nothing more than a sparkly thing, something to play with, but not something she’d want to hitch up to her particular star.
She knew the truth: that a book is forged by hard work and persistence, by fighting with words and plot and staying up late and saying “no” to things she really wanted to do because she wanted to write a book even more. So she listened to all of them and smiled and found a special place (not fancy, but hers) and sat down and WROTE because it was her book and her dream and she made it come true. She did it."
