What would life be without poetry in general - or Shakespeare in particular? A while back, I decided to make products using Shakespeare's sonnets, but I felt my design was a bit unfulfilled at the time, so I revamped it a bit to something more to my liking. Traditional yet original. The background is a parchment texture I made a while back, and I also found a calligraphic typeface for it that has the almost unique feature of having both historical gravity as well as modern legibility. This Shakespearean quotation is created as a customer request, and includes the well-known passage from Macbeth, Act V, Scene V. Upon hearing Lady Macbeth is dead, Macbeth says: She should have died hereafter; There would have been a time for such a word. To-morrow, and to-morrow, and to-morrow, Creeps in this petty pace from day to day To the last syllable of recorded time, And all our yesterdays have lighted fools The way to dusty death. Out, out, brief candle! Life's but a walking shadow, a poor player That struts and frets his hour upon the stage And then is heard no more: it is a tale Told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, Signifying nothing.
