    May 20, 2012 - The grey shadow of the moon cast on bright clouds of the northern Pacific Ocean, as the May 20 solar eclipse point tracked towards the Aleutian Islands and then on to northern California. The eclipse is seen obliquely so it appears as a flattened circle. The edge of the shadow looks diffused because of the partial eclipse zone, the wide area where more or less of the sun can be seen around the edge of the moon. The zone of partial eclipse covers a far wider area than the area covered by the total eclipse.

    I was looking for a cheerful, vibrantly coloured, fun, extra large , MCM designed mug for my first coffee of the day. This fits the bill! The print is purrfect and the colours are SO vibrant. The design definitely gives a true MCM vibe. The placement of the art is the only negative for me. I would prefer the main image be on opposite sides of the mug, rather than placed so close together, and not able to be seen by the drinker (me!) or the person opposite me (if there is one :-).
