Series of 8 commemorative suffragette button

Celebrate the 100th Anniversary of the 19th Amendment with this commemorative button based on an iconic pin from the American suffragette movement. There are 8 historic pins in this series. Each one has slightly different fonts and colour schemes because the suffragette movement began as many grass root groups working together until it became a national organization and adopted the gold, white, and lavender banner of Alice Paul's faction as the official Suffragette Flag. They have been slightly revamped using the same colour palette so that they all work together as a set. Each star on these pins represent a state where women could vote. States could pass laws to allow women in their state to vote even if it wasn't federal law. The 19th Amendment made it legal in all states for women to vote whether they passed state laws or not. Mississippi finally ratified the 19th Amendment in 1984! This 12 star pin represents the number of states in which women had full suffrage at the time it was made: Wyoming (1869), Colorado (1893), Utah (1896), Idaho (1896), Washington (1910), California (1911), Kansas, Oregon and Arizona (all 1912), Illinois (1913), Montana and Nevada (1914).
