Seattle Slew by Susan Pelisek Kolberg Postcard

Susan was one of the artists willing to donate her art to TPR. We asked Susan for a brief bio, here is what she told us: "I've been drawing for as long as I can remember. I've always had a love for horses, so naturally they were a focus of my art. When I graduated from high school, I got a job working on the race track as a hot-walker and then a groom. I worked on the track for a year and then worked on a thoroughbred farm where I worked with young horses, preparing them for the track. I also worked with horses in need of some special attention. It was truly a rewarding experience. I did these sketches around that time."
