The Sea Venture is a crab boat which was converted to a catcher-processor. The Sea Venture is shown here on a beautiful summer's day tied up at the spit. Between seasons boats are often tied up at the spit and left in storage there, The spit dock is located at the base of Ballyhoo Mountain on the north end of Dutch Harbour, Alaska. In the background of this photo the road built in WWII which goes up the side of Ballyhoo Mountain to the remnants of Fort Swatzka is visible.
