Sea of Colour- Note Card, Blank Card

This print comes from my very first painting. I love to create beautiful things—just like my mother before she passed away. I used to watch her paint and think to myself, “I wish I could paint.” She passed away before she could ever teach me how. Well, just for fun, I organized a ladies painting class at my church, and for someone to come lead us in painting. As other painters walked around the class to look at everyone else’s work, people commented that they didn’t know I could paint. “Neither did I,” I responded. It helps to actually pick up a paint brush and try before assuming you cannot paint. I think of the gift of painting as something my mother left behind for me.
