A golden, blue-purple-periwinkle sunset swirls around the picturesque Eilean Donan Castle, in the Western Highlands of Scotland. The amazing light is reflected in the sea lochs that surround Eilean Donan, ancient home of the MacKenzie clan chiefs, who are said to have settled there by 1297 along with their centuries-long ally Clan MacRae. Eilean Donan is part of the Kintail National Scenic Area, one of 40 in Scotland. Eilean Donan was completely rebuilt between 1919 and 1932 and is one of the most photographed locations in the country. A larger version of this puzzle is available.
