This painting is inspired by an Alex Wild photograph of Megalomyrmex adamsae Longino 2010. These ants are found in the tropical rain forests of Panama nesting with a fungus-growing ant, Trachymyrmex zeteki. They eat the host garden and brood and are known as guest ant social parasites. This species was named after Rachelle M. M. Adams.

This mug was exactly as described. I have purchased the stainless steel one before and the white is a nice change (stainless steel inside). I found the lavender purple a little light for my liking but that's my fault. Next time I'll choose a more grapey purple.
