This is the Basilica of Santo Spirito, in Florence, Italy. The dome and church building in the foreground are almost silhouetted against the light gold and purple of the sunset sky. This photograph was taken from the Ponte Vecchio, or the Old Bridge, which crosses the River Arno to the old section of the city.
