This jigsaw puzzle features an elevated view over Samye Monastery, with its temple complex set in the Yarlung valley and mountains beyond. Samye was established in the 8th century under Tibetan king Trisong Detsen and is widely regarded as Tibet's first fully established Buddhist monastery. Its location in the Yarlung Tsangpo valley places the historic complex amid an unusual high-altitude landscape of river plains, mountains and nearby sand dunes.
