SAMURAI FAMILY CRESTS POSTER

This is a photograph of actual Samurai Family Crests that are embedded into a foundation stone at Himeji Castle. Himeji Castle, also known as the 'White Heron Castle', is the finest known surviving feudal-age castle in Japan. It was an age of Bushido, where warfare, honour, tradition and fealty to the clan were paramount. The Samrai were warriors, but they were much more than that. It took years of training and discipline to earn the title of Samurai and the right to stand shoulder to shoulder with fellow soldiers behind these mystic family symbols. I think you will agree that these are a unique representation of the Japanese warrior culture of the middle ages.
