St. Joan of Arc was a teenage girl (14 years old) who led the French forces to defeat the British at the Battle of Orleans during the Hundred Years War. Joan, saying that she had seen heavenly visions, dressed in a white suit or armour and led the French army to victory. Several years later she was captured by allies of the English who held a trial and burned her at the stake. Today she is considered one of the primary heroes of Western Civilization. She is also one of the Patron Saints of France and is known as the Maid of Orleans. Her feast day is May 30th. Plusieurs années plus tard, elle a été capturé par les alliés des Français qui détenaient un procès et l'a brûlée sur le bûcher.
