This Saint James (Santiago) statue stands above a fountain next to a small chapel. When I arrived here while walking the Via de la Plata, I was practically falling over from the heat and the hills. A Spanish pilgrim and I splashed water on our faces, and then went to the nearby albergue. the next day, we reached Santiago de Compostela.
