rural cottages snow scene at christmas

I painted this little rural snow scene as a Christmas card for my mum, the festive image reminds me of winter walks to my grandmothers, as a child we’d walk to grannies house every weekend, but walking through the thick winter snow in the festive season was extra special, very cold though! I’ve always liked walking in the snow. The row of rural country cottages are set on a bit of a slope in the landscape and have snow covered roofs, you can imagine a roaring fire glowing inside these cosy homes.
