Royal Seating in Aarhus Cathedral, Denmark Photo Print

"Royal Seating in Aarhus Cathedral, Denmark" by Catherine Sherman. Seating for the Danish royal family is reserved in Aarhus, Denmark, Cathedral. The Danish Royal family has a summer residence in Aarhus. The Cathedral was built in Romanesque style in 1201. It was enlarged into its present form as a Gothic cathedral between 1450 and 1520, at which time it received its magnificent altarpiece by Bernt Notke, the font and frescoes. It is the longest and tallest church in the country, at 93 m (305 ft) in length and 96 m (315 ft) in height. The church can seat around 1,200 people. The cathedral is situated on the port side of the central square of Store Torv (Large Square). The cathedral is frequently used for concerts as well as normal services and is a popular stop for tourists, who can visit except on Sundays and church services days. The cathedral is dedicated to St. Clemens, who was the Roman Pope in the year 100 who died as a martyr when he was drowned with an anchor tied to his neck. St. Clemons is the patron saint of sailors. There is a large model of a ship hanging in the cathedral.

Hi, this photo-poster is now located on my refrigerator. I thought it was going to be a poster-size poster because I don't understand the metric measurements that are posted on the website. It turned out to be the size of a photo and now has a place of honour on my fridge. Was originally intended for a friend, but I thought it applied to me too: "World's Best Cat Mom"! There a lot of us out there! The printing was excellent -- vivid colour; sharp contrast.
