Rouen Cathedral, Sunset (1894) by Claude Monet is a vintage impressionism fine art architectural painting. A beautiful old church in Rouen, in northwestern France. The Rouen Cathedral series captures the façade of the cathedral at different times of the day and year, tracing changes in its appearance under different lighting conditions, sunrises, sunsets, midday, etc. Preliminary work on the paintings was done during late winter in 1892 and 1893, then reworked in Monet’s studio in 1894. About the artist: Claude Monet (1840-1926) was a founder of the French impressionist painting movement with most of his paintings being "en plein air" (in the open air) style impressionism landscapes.

I was originally happy about my purchase and Nana loved the gift. HOWEVER, the description specifically says that these are microwave and dishwasher safe, BUT the first time Nana put this mug in the dishwasher it was destroyed. Not impressed..
