Rose Poster Card

I had made a few previous attempts at coral rose paintings & they turned out okay. I just couldn't get that "It" factor, though. I made another attempt, this time opting to use orange as the darker colour instead of pink, using pink as a lighter blending colour. The roses turned out just right. I really had a lovely time adding the bow & feel satisfied with my choice to add yellow accents to the stars. The narrow base of the vase I used is logistically somewhat risky, as it can create the sense that the vase will easily tip over, but I believe the extreme wide-top-to-narrow-bottom shape also adds quite a bit of elegance & quirk at the same time. I love how this turned out & will be hesitant to sell the original. Who knows-- maybe I won't. This coral rose piece can be used as an invitation for springtime events, a greeting for springtime birthdays, a greeting for Mother's Day, a bit of cheer for any occasion, or it could also be displayed as art in a bland and/or dysphoria-inducing corporate workspace... Ahem. Hee.
