Rodeo Cowboy by Mark Edward Westerfield Postcard ... Detail from my 2005 Dream Painting. Acrylic paint on canvas at our local community college. "Then, I turned around ... And through a tornado of dust out of a huge wooden gate in the wall out came rodeo cowboy riding a massive muscular horse ... " We were assigned to paint from an actual dream we had ... I had this dream at about my age ten. First, I filled two plastic condiment bottles ... one with diluted yellow acrylic paint, the other with diluted violet acrylic paint. I added salt and pepper to each and shook. this was to create the dust storm background ... over that I painted the various parts of the dream. I think that this was the best part of my painting.
