Robert E Lee Statue Two-Tone Coffee Mug

Robert E Lee Statue Two-Tone Coffee Mug

The statue of Lee on horseback was erected in 1890 in Richmond, VA, the former capital of the Confederacy. In June of 2020, Virginia Governor Ralph Northam announced that the statue would be removed. At the time, the governor asked to remove the statue “as soon as possible.” However, ongoing litigation has prevented the department from doing so since the Lee monument sits on state-owned land. The Robert E. Lee monument is the last Confederate monument remaining on Richmond’s Monument Avenue. All other Confederate monuments owned by the City of Richmond were removed this past summer following protests over the death of George Floyd in Minnesota.

I ordered these with interiors of yellow, red, maroon, pink, navy blue, and light blue. Note that the navy blue is VERY dark and looks black in some lighting. The mugs have survived 10 months of use so far! My friends were all very happy with them. Print turned out very clear. Colours were accurate. Thank you!

Creating this personalized mug as a gift was easy to do and the result is beautiful and very professional looking. My daughters and niece were thrilled with them. I absolutely plan on making more personalized gifts with Zazzle and would highly recommend them to other people. The photos and writing turned out perfectly.
