This beautiful New Year card features a cameo painting of a handsome portrait of the famous Scottish poet Robert Burns (1759-1796) based on a photomechanical print created between 1890 and 1900 by the Detroit Photographic Company. The painting shows the head and shoulders of Scotlands favorite son, the Ploughman Poet, in profile with a soft silhouette of trees in the background. The original image is courtesy of the Library of Congress Prints and Photographs Division, Washington DC and is shown against a rich brown background, though you can change this to suit by using the customize button. Inside is the message, For Auld Lang Syne. You can easily change the text to suit, too.
