Road Agent Henry Plummer Diorama - Montana Poster

Road Agent Henry Plummer Diorama - Montana Poster

Henry Plummer lived a somewhat unusual life as Lawman and Outlaw in old-west Montana. The diorama displays items that were familiar to him: a Blizzard Lamp, spitoon, whiskey containers, a shot glass, cards, a gun, gunpowder containers, coins, buckshot, and even a tree he carved his name into in 1862 .... two years before his death. He was Sheriff of the 1860's mining boom town of Bannack, Montana. During his tunure, people began disappearing on the roads in and out of Bannack. The regional citizens felt victimized and fearful. So, a vigilante committee of citizens was formed to investigate the matter. It was determined that a group of outlaws who hung out in Bannack's Skinner's Saloon were the probable culprits. Only one problem: they were all friends and associates of Henry Plummer. The vigilantes weren't stupid and they wanted justice and the killings to stop. So, they hunted down Plummer and all his gang and hung them in 1864, nearly 24 of them over 4 weeks. They even hunted down the saloon owner and hung him, too. It appears Silas Skinner kept Plummer and his cohorts supplied with information about who was coming to town or leaving, how much gold they had, and by what route they were taking. It is surmised that over 100 bodies lie in the high country desert after being waylaid by Plummer and his gang. But, there is still controversy. Some say Plummer, the Sheriff, was innocent. But, after the vigilantes did their civic duty ..... the crimes they had contended with diminished considerably.

My Bible verse postcard, turned out excellent. I love it and have it already framed. It was so reasonably priced for something done so well. Thank you to Zazzle and the artist! I thought it looked exactly like what I ordered. Perfect.

Poster is printed clearly, good quality . Inclusive of many prints . The shipping was the problem. Box was flimsy and item got bent.. only suggestion would have been to put in a canister or mark fragile. Printing was exactly as shown
