RMS Majestic Cut Away Poster
Launched in Germany as the SS Bismarck in 1914, she was awarded to Great Britain as a war reparation after the end of World War One and renamed the RMS Majestic. The largest ship in the world at the time she sailed for the White Star Line and later for Cunard White Star. Taken over by the Royal Navy in the late 1930s as a cadetship she was renamed the HMS Caledonia. She burned and sank in 1939. This poster recreates a promotional souvenir cutaway view of the great ship from sometime around the late 1920s or early 1930s.
