The Ripley Scroll is a very early esoteric illuminated manuscript of alchemy in England, with ornate drawings of dragons and other symbols elucidating the stages in the process of alchemy. The imagery comes from a variety of sources including heraldry, emblem books and other alchemical manuscripts.
