Retro Trail Crest Signboard Mt Whitney, California T-Shirt

The design on the back of this t shirt is a vintage image (circa 1977) of the signboard Mt Whitney at Trail Crest with the Sierra Nevada range of mountains. The original image was a 35mm transparency that I scanned into the computer to produce this piece of artwork. Here the John Muir Trail crosses Trail Crest, the highest trail pass in the United States, on the way to the summit of Mt Whitney. This trail is named after John Muir, the Scottish environmentalist and naturalist who is regarded as being the father of USA’s national parks.
