These cool retro mugs have a slightly distressed red-and-white chequered background with a sign on both sides that says "DINER" and "OPEN" in neon with space for you to add your own first or last name - or any other word you'd like. I was originally happy about my purchase and Nana loved the gift. HOWEVER, the description specifically says that these are microwave and dishwasher safe, BUT the first time Nana put this mug in the dishwasher it was destroyed. Not impressed..
