A wonderful tile from William Morris & Co from the 1870s. This reproduction of a period hand painted tile works by itself (alone or in multiples) as well as with some other William Morris tiles and also with many of our William De Morgan tiles.
William Morris (1834-1896) was a prolific and influential English textile designer, artist, writer, illustrator, and medievalist. The Morris circle of artists and designers included De Morgan, Crane, Rosetti, and many others whose work you'll find in TessieRay's collection.
