Repro Antique Bold Ruby Luster De Morgan Eagle Tile

The original of this great eagle tile by William De Morgan (1839-1917) has an irridescent red lustre glaze that was not possible to capture here, but we think this one does justice to De Morgan's original in every other way. Charles Dodson, better known as Lewis Carroll, was a huge De Morgan fan. Dodson selected De Morgan red luster tile creatures from William Morris & Company to use on two of the fireplaces in his own home.
