Repro 1880s Colorful Blossoms & Fruit Transferware Tile

Transferware tiles were originally produced using a decorative technique that was developed in England in the mid-1700s. The design was first fired onto the tile, which was then colored by hand. This made decorative tiles and other items printed using this method more affordable than labor-intensive and more costly hand-painted tiles.
