Redtail Mouse Guard Mouse Pad

A little office humour. The Red-Tailed Hawk, also known as the 'Chickenhawk' in North America, is a medium sized to large sized bird of prey. While most regard this hawk medium sized, we've witnessed and photographed some very large 'medium' sized Red-Tails. This particular Redtail exhibited behaviour that falconers call 'passage', meaning they lack the adult behaviour that falconers consider perfect for capture and training as a bird of prey. Falconers in the US are allowed to capture Red-Tails when they meet certain requirements, one being that they're young enough, out of the nest and exhibit the type of behaviour this one did. What was that behaviour? We were only a few feet away from this raptor when the photo was taken. It had decided to rest on top of one of our pre-release pens, watching the goings on around the bird and squirrel feeders. He was perched up on the pen for about an hour, just biding his time, no aggressive moves towards any of the squirrels, he was just quite curious. Eventually, he left, but flew only a few feet to the top of our chimney, preening himself for about 15 minutes before taking flight as the sun slowly made its way below the horizon. Where we thought this was unusual activity to say the least, this wasn't the last time he graced us with his presence. He became a normal fixture for a month of so, doing the same thing every day, just relaxing and taking in the sites. So if you have an unruly mouse on your desktop, tame it with this pad, almost guaranteed results.
