Food grade mineral oil is oil is transparent, has no odour or taste, and is the best cutting board oil, and when used with beeswax is a superior product that not only moisturizes but conditions and protects your wood from spills such as red wine and beet juice and protects the board from excess moisture that is bad for wood. USP-grade (by the United States Pharmacopeia) is a step above FDA-Food Grade and is 99% pure. Both grades of mineral oil are able to resist resist the oxidation and moisture that come into contact with your wooden cutting board. TO MAKE BEESWAX WOOD PROTECTANT: warm equal amounts of mineral oil and melted beeswax in a pan then poured into metal tins, plastic containers or jars. Rub product onto cutting board and allow a few hours for it to soak in. This label has editable fields for your apiary name, beekeeper name and location.
