RCR Alumni 2020 Calendar

When you have rescued a dog out of difficult or dire situations and welcomed them into your home and family, you know a special sort of love. Rain CIty Rescue celebrates the dogs that have found such special homes and the people who have offered them. In our 2020 calendar, we are proud to feature 12 of the dogs who have been adopted through this rescue! (Plus a few snapshots of other incredible RCR rescues!) The majority of dogs rescued through Rain CIty Rescue have come from shelters or the streets of Georgia with the rest being either local rescues or a few from areas such as southern California. Georgia (and other southern states) have many high-kill shelters because of the overwhelming number of animals that find themselves coming in the doors. Whether brought in to be surrendered by their owners, by animal control for wandering the streets, rescued from dog fighting rings or in hoarding homes (or any other number of horrible situations), the dogs come in faster than they can get out to new homes. RCR aimed to give a few more dogs hope by taking up the huge task of rehoming them (across the country) to a state and region full of people who cherish dogs and are champions of rescue. It is a costly and labor intensive mission that has required the hard work and dedication of a few leads and many volunteers. While RCR never had the time or manpower to become a 501c3 organization, they have been grateful for the donations they have received that have helped pay for some of the enormous costs. Happy Heeler Designs has partnered with Rain City Rescue to help support their cause of saving and changing lives! Half of the proceeds of this 2020 Calendar will go directly to RCR to help fund their efforts. Every time you look up at this calendar, you will be reminded of the precious lives that have been saved through rescue and hopefully will inspire you to find your place in rescue. Adopt. Foster.
