Royal Street empties into a deep mist, the buildings imbued with the souls and emotions of all who've come before. As you gaze down the street, you can almost feel time slipping away as that black magic takes you back.. Feast your eyes on this photograph that seems to meld the past and the present. Taken in early July of 2003 the image peers down Royal Street in New Orleans' French Quarter. It was captured from a balcony in the Royal Cafe on at the Corner of Royal Street and St. Peter during a downpour.
