Rackham Sword in the Stone King Arthur Tile

This tile features an illustration of the famous scene where Arthur removes the fabled sword from the stone it is embedded in. This scene is from a 1917 issue of an abridged version of Thomas Malory's "Mort d' Arthur" with exquisite illustrations created by Arthur Rackham (1867-1939) in the pre-Raphaelite style. A wonderful set to collect, give as gifts, or use as part of a wall tile project. Rackham created 16 colour plates and 7 black and white plates plus smaller drawings for the book.
