Quickstep Clipper sailing ships 1859 Postcard

Quickstep Clipper sailing ships 1859 Fisher, Richards & Co. was an Australian shipper of clipper ships, including the A1 Boston clipper bark QUICKSTEP. Richard Swainson Fisher contributed text to Colton's General Atlas, published in New York in 1859. He also compiled a map of railroads and canals in the United States and Canada. The period of clipper ships lasted from the early 1840s to the early 1890s. At the 'crest of the clipper wave' year of 1852, there were 200 clippers rounding Cape Horn. Up to 400 clipper ships were built, between 1840s to the early 1890 The only intact survivor is Cutty Sark, which was preserved as a museum ship in 1954 at Greenwich.
