Quan Yin Goddess of Compassion Postcard

Quan Yin, beloved goddess of Compassion, is widely venerated in East Asia. From Taoism, Buddhism, and various folk religions to even modern neo-pagan traditions, Quan Yin (more properly Guan Yin) can be seen as a comforting, smiling, serene guide, offering a compassionate hand and a protective aura. Guan Yin here holds a willow sprig and a jar of water (the water of life). The original Chinese brush painting was done with an exaggerated folk art style, so her hands are small and dainty, while her comforting face is large and soft.
