Puebla City Mexico Postcard

Located at the foot of the Popocatépetl and Iztaccíhuatl volcanoes, Puebla (officially Heroica Puebla de Zaragoza) is famous for its colonial architecture and Talavera pottery. The massive cathedral with its twin towers and the ornate Church of Santo Domingo are significant landmarks. The historic centre features many buildings covered in coloured tiles. Puebla is known for its rich culinary heritage, including mole poblano and chiles en nogada. It's a UNESCO World Heritage site and a vibrant cultural hub with numerous museums, universities, and festivals. The city played a key role in the Battle of Puebla on May 5th, 1862, celebrated as Cinco de Mayo.
