Pt. Defiance Ferry Postcard
This photograph is of one of my favourite Washington State ferry runs, from Point Defiance in Tacoma to Tahlequah on Vashon Island. The boat is very small, and has the traditional white upper decks and green lower decks and hull. It is crossing a calm, blue stretch of Puget Sound, approaching the green-wooded tip of Vashon, casually followed by the watchful white police boat, "Vigilance."
