My grandmother used to make jam and jelly from the fruit she grew in her very small backyard in the city. Each jar was topped off with parafin and then sealed. My boys and I have resurrected this tradition recently...and have learned to can pickes, relish and other garden produce. It's not all that hard to do. Give it a try. This is a poster from 1918, which has been digitally altered to improve colour and enhance the texture.

The shipping was the problem. Box was flimsy and item got bent.. only suggestion would have been to put in a canister or mark fragile. Printing was exactly as shown
