This tiny infant orangutan who doesn't even have any teeth yet is a new arrival at OFI's Care Centre for orangutan orphans. Orangutans are an endangered species, the only great apes surviving in the wild outside of the continent of Africa, and are gentle, intelligent creatures with blood types and finger prints. You can foster orphans at the official website for Orangutan Foundation International: www.orangutan.org In addition, the artist donates 100% of her profits from the sale of this and other orangutan products to support the work of OFI whose founder has been rescuing orangutans for decades, since the 1970's.
The natural habitat of these red apes is the rainforest on the islands of Sumatra and Borneo.
