"The Precious" Whimsigoth Holiday mug expects adoration. This is the spooky, cute cat who has a tendency to pop up in various iterations across clothing & home goods. The design is rooted in the public domain artwork by Louis Wain entitled "A Cat in Gothic Style", circa 1925-1939. A spirited fusion of 'whimsical' and 'gothic,' WHIMSIGOTH is a style characterized by mischief and drama. Decidedly more inviting (and modern) than its stark/dark counterpart, it's an intoxicating brew of all things frisky, brooding & lush. Playful patterns meet moody hues, rich florals merge with layered textures - it's a bag of contradictions that ought not work but instead forms an enchanting vibe with a macabre tickle.
