Prayer for the Sorrowful Card

Mary, a lady of Sorrows, you felt the depth of grief when you mourned your Son at the foot of his cross. Our own grief unites us with his suffering and death, and with your sorrow. Our hearts are filled with the emptiness of loss. The emptiness of our loved one who now is with You. We ask you to pray for us, that we may share your hope in God’s faithfulness and the promise of new and eternal life, however distant it might seem. Holy Spirit bring us to your Son that we may all one day join in the resurrection with those whom we love. Amen.
