Poster: When did you last see your Father? Poster

This is a poster of the famous picture by William Frederick Yeames RA, called 'When did you last see your father?' The painting, created in 1878, is depicting a common and no doubt terrifying scenario from the English Civil War, at the point in the war when the Roundheads were gerring the upper hand and were hunting down worthies and notables from the Cavaliers' / Royalists camp. Of course, many had fled, and tragically, families were left behind to face interrogation by Roundhead officers as to the whereabouts of their absent fathers, brothers, uncles etc. Here, it is of course, a young son who is being quizzed over the current whereabouts of his Pops. The digital image used here is totally copyright free, as it is a shot of the painting which itself came out of copyright on the First of January 1989.
