Poster Print: Bicycle Adventures of Piet Pelle

Tis is a reproduction of the vintage cover art for the Dutch bicycle book "Piet Pelle." "Piet Pelle was biilled as "an artistic picture book for children aged 8 to 80 years." (Wikipedia) It was first published in 1912 as a free book, intended as promotional material for the Piet Pelle Gazelle youth bicycles. The book shows Piet Pelle undertaking incredibly wonderful adventures on his bike. The book, created by the Dutch artist Ko Doncker (1874-1917) of the Gazelle Bicycle Factory, was tremendously successful. This image has been professionally restored by us. Tears have been repaired, colours have been enhanced, it has been retouched where faded. This artwork is available as a poster or a canvas print. Framing is also available.
