Big cities and their lights are not really an issue in Idaho so night brings a brighter and more beautiful starry sky than in most places. But Idaho contributes much more than just potatoes: milk, cattle, hay, wheat, sugarbeets, barley, dry beans, corn, onions, hops, lentils . . . they are in the top ten in production for nearly 30 of the commodities produced. Idaho even has three approved wine-grape growing regions. The state vegetable, as you might suspect, is the potato. The state horse is the Appaloosa and the state fish is the Cutthroat Trout. An amazing 63% of Idaho is public land which is particularly impressive as Idaho is the 13th largest state in the United States. This wonderful design pays homage to our amazing 43rd state.
