Portrait of Adele Bloch-Bauer

This is a reproduction of the “Portrait of Adele Block-Bauer” by Gustave Klimt of 1907. It is composed of silver, gold and oil on canvas and measuers 55.1 inches square. It is in the Neue Galerie in New York. Klimt was forty-five when he created this masterpicce while he was a leading light in the Vienna Secession as one of the foremost Symbolist painters. The painting is a good representative of his “Golden Period”. He died in Vienna eleven years later. The painting was nationalized by the Nazis in 1941 and was the subject a famous long-term effort of Maria Altmann to obtain the painting for the family. Successful in 2006, it was sold to Ronald Lauder who, in turn, transferred the painting to the Neue Galerie in New York City.

I've seen the actual painting, in New York City. Of all the versions presented on Zazzle, as I looked at official museum photograph online, yours is the most accurate to the painting.
